Haiti Donations to K.I.D.S. Rise to $8 Million in Product; Relief Efforts to Continue Over Coming Months |
| In the three weeks that K.I.D.S. has been working to help the survivors of the Haiti earthquake tragedy, retailers and manufacturers, both large and small, have donated desperately needed new product. As of February 3, more than 90 donor companies have provided or pledged close to $8 million worth of new product. K.I.D.S. TAKES DONATIONS OF ONLY NEW CLOTHING AND PRODUCTS. We use our industry contacts to get new products the Haitian people will need in the coming weeks and months as they rebuild. We distribute donations securely and efficiently through partner agencies that are on the ground in Haiti and know the country well from years of experience. WE ALSO NEED CASH DONATIONS FROM INDIVIDUALS TO HELP DISTRIBUTE THESE DONATIONS today and in the months to come. Every $10 in cash can help us deliver $100 of donated products. Children living in poverty is a disaster that happens every
day. Young lives facing a family in crisis. A debilitating illness that devastates a family’s well-being. Children in homeless shelters. Poverty that makes a child wonder, “Does anyone care about me?”
K.I.D.S. brings hope and self-esteem to children in need and their families by providing new clothes, shoes, toys, furniture, books and juvenile products donated by leading manufactures and retailers. The donations move through our network of community social service agencies in the U.S. and abroad to reach children who are ill, living in poverty or are the victims of natural disasters. Will you help? |
